Getting a taxi in Phuket?

We're coming to phuket in September and would like to get a taxi from the airport to patong. We'll be staying in patong for a week, so we would need a taxi to get around town.

Does anyone know how much this would cost me? Is taxi the best option to get around patong?

any help anyone could offer would be very very much appreciated, thankyou in advance

Getting a taxi in Patong is an expensive way to get around. If you can ride a motorbike I would recommend you rent one to get around.

A short journey on a tuk-tuk could cost around 200 baht.

Thank you for the info. I would stick with tuk tuk. I've heard that riding a motor bike in Patong is quite dangerous.
