Bus from Phuket bus terminal to Patong

I am going to go to Phuket on Dec, and stay at one of the hostel near Patong, located at Nanai Rd. Can anybody recommend me the best way to get bus to Patong from Phuket bus terminal?
From Phuket International Airport, I will catch airport bus to Phuket bus terminal or to Big C. then from there, many buses heading to Patong (the information i got from internet). is that right choice ?

The easiest and best way to get to Patong from Phuket airport is to take the join minibus. Tickets cost is 150 baht and can be purchased at the counter upon exit of the arrival hall.

If you take the bus to Big C, yes there're many buses you can take to Patong for under 50 baht. But I would prefer to take the join minibus anyway.
